Travaillant sous le pseudonyme Parse/Error, Fabien Bouchard est un artiste français basé à Marseille. Autodidacte, son travail est né de la rencontre entre art, design et technologie et porte sur l’interaction entre l’homme et la nature, dans un monde envahi par le numérique et les nouveaux usages de la communication. De formation scientifique et informatique, il utilise les nouvelles technologies et la science pour interroger les problématiques actuelles sous différentes angles, à la frontière de plusieurs univers créatifs.

Après des études en biologie, puis en nouvelles technologies de l’information, et des expériences professionnelles dans le monde du web, il a observé pendant 10 ans la créativité contemporaine et ses nouvelles formes d’expression en créant et éditant le web magazine UFUNK. Depuis cinq ans, il structure désormais son travail autour de l’entité Parse/Error, afin de proposer des projets concrets et centrés sur les problématiques qui lui tiennent à cœur.

Tout en cherchant à recréer des émotions à partir des flux de données de plus en plus omniprésents et questionnant notre rapport aux nouvelles technologies, il oscille à l’interface entre technologie et sensibilité humaine. Portée par un regard décalé, sa pratique artistique mélange ouvertement réalité virtuelle, impression 3D, objets connectées, électronique, lumière, art génératif, installations immersives, expériences interactives et données en temps-réel.

Son travail a reçu un accueil très positif au travers de nombreux articles (Usbek & Rica, L’ADN, Hypebeast, DesignBoom, Mashable, Inhabitat, Journal du Design, etc.), et a notamment été exposé à Paris, Marseille, Rio de Janeiro, Dubai, Berlin, Hambourg, Manchester, Tokyo ou New-York.

Working under the pseudonym Parse/Error, Fabien Bouchard is a French artist based in south of France. Self-taught, his work is born from the encounter between art, design and technology and focuses on the interaction between human and nature, in a world invaded by the digital and the new uses of communication. With a scientific and IT background, he’s using new technologies and science to question modern issues in various ways, on the border of several creative universes.

For the past five years, he has now structured his work around the Parse/Error entity, in order to propose concrete projects focused on the issues that are close to his heart.

While seeking to recreate emotions from increasingly ubiquitous data flows and questioning our relationship with new technologies, he oscillates at the interface between technology and human sensitivity. Strongly attached to an offbeat look, his artistic practice openly mixes digital and generative art, virtual reality, 3D printing, connected objects, electronics, light, immersive installations, interactive experiences and real-time data.
